Watercolour Workshops

Our watercolour workshops offers guidance on watercolour techniques. It provides students with the skills to create watercolour compositions in a traditional way or in a loose and impressionistic approach . Each watercolour workshop focus on a specific technique. Watercolour workshop – Natural forms in watercolour

with Artist Frances Douglas – Sunday 5th May, 10-4pm, £95

This workshop will focus on natural forms, their shapes and relation to each other and how to capture these with watercolour whilst experimenting with a range of creative techniques.

The day will be spent exploring methods of painting some of the natural forms that are part of our landscape. This will be done by looking at the work of other artists’, tutor demonstrations and practical exercises with a view to helping you create your own vibrant and expressive watercolours.
All levels welcome

Experimental Watercolour Day

The experimental watercolour day will allow you to push the boundaries of watercolour painting through experimenting with a range of creative techniques.

The morning will be spent exploring ways of producing expressive effects and textures using watercolour paints and a combination of different mark making tools. In the afternoon there will be time to incorporate some of these ideas into your paintings focusing on a subject matter of your choice. All levels welcome, all materials, lunch and refreshments provided and included in the course fee.
